1967 Omega “All American Astronauts Wear In Space” Speedmaster Professional

This is a rarer ad, available less than a handful of times throughout the year. It’s full-color and the perfect example of how Omega proudly announced to the public their role in space exploration - that NASA chose and astronauts wear the Speedmaster. It’s easy to imagine that this very ad prompted so many to purchase Speedmasters given the interest and fascination with space missions during that day and age. 

Of course this ad predates Buzz, Neil and Michael’s fame, but it does feature the Moonwatch. And if the color nature of the ad, fantastic shot of likely a reference 105.012 and Ed White’s cameo aren’t enough, then consider its historical significance… It’s an artifact that documents a partnership that undoubtedly made Omega what it has become. A connection and relationship that endures to this day, that still pulls people to the brand, like gravity…  

This ad is a great way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing and inspire you to keep learning about and collecting Speedmasters.
